This reserve bottling of our estate Syrah is culled from one specific block of our vineyard, where we find the qualities of sun exposure, elevation, and soil to be ideal for ripening. The stems are removed from the berries, then placed atop the hill amogst the Syrah vines to fully dry in the sun. The dried stems are then introduced into the fermentation. The resulting wine is a totally pure expression of our now over 20 year-old Syrah parcel.

Dense ruby/plum-colored, with lots of spiced plums, blackberries, new leather, and dried, peppery herb notes, it too is medium to full-bodied, nicely balanced, and elegant on the palate.
