The textured, luscious mouthfeel explodes with a bright blast of underripe cherry, followed by fleshy, fruit-forward tannins that coat the palate. The balance of acidity, tannin, and crisp, fresh fruit tones are what make this wine so special each year, along with its excellent ageability. Try it with red-sauce pastas and pizza, cured meats, and hard cheeses such as aged asiago.
