Our Estate Roussanne, produced in extremely small quantities, has for many years been one of the highest-rated Rhône whites in our region. Here's what Robert Parker's Wine Advocate had to say about the 2017 vintage, awarding it the highest rating of a Rhône white in Santa Barbara County:
"The 2017 Roussanne gives aromas of baker's yeast and pastry crust with honey-drizzled apples and pears, acacia blossom, beeswax and candle smoke. Medium to full-bodied, it's broad and fleshy in the mouth but lifted by juicy acidity and finishes long and honeyed." 92 Points
Those classic elements of our Estate Roussanne continue in our 2019 vintage, which shows beeswax, cantaloupe, and toasted almond notes on the nose. The palate is both lush and balanced, with unusually sturdy acidity for this varietal, allowing all of the elements to linger long on the palate. This age-worthy white is beautiful right now, and will continue to evolve in bottle over the years.
