2013 Siempre Malbec | 750ml | 14.8% alc

The iconic Happy Canyon Vineyard provides us with the fruit for this stunning annual bottling. Even on the vine, the intensity and concentration of the grapes is something to remember. The tiny, dark berries will stain your hands when you sample them. Once the winemaking process has completed, these aromas and flavors deepen, but there is still a sense of fresh sweetness that persists. The richness of the oak blends beautifully with the berry notes to bring forth mocha tones that will allow the wine to develop over time.

This inaugural vintage of our "Siempre" Malbec received 92 points and Editor's Choice from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Here's what Matt Kettmann had to say about it at the time:

"Thick, meaty and pure aromas of blackcurrant, crushed lavender and minty dark chocolate greet the nose on this special bottling from Iris Rideau.
