2017 Murmur Vineyard Syrah | 750ml | 15.4% alc

Murmur Vineyard is our first single-varietal bottling of a Santa Maria Valley Syrah. Santa Maria Valley is significantly cooler than our own Santa Ynez Valley AVA, so we get to explore a different spectrum of aromas and flavors than what we’re used to on our estate. The 174 Syrah clone, imported from France in 1995, is a very low-yielding clone that produces bright, aromatic, and pleasing red fruit elements, in addition to excellent structure from the reduced vigor. This bottling showcases those classic notes along with white pepper and boysenberry elements that are structured by fleshy tannins. Excellent for pairing with a backyard BBQ.
