Sourced from premium Happy Canyon Vineyard fruit, each year's release of Cabernet Sauvignon is exciting for us as an expression of this singular AVA within our valley. The vineyard block itself is an amazing sight—a giant sloped hillside rising steeply from the ground high into the Santa Ynez Valley atmosphere. The soil is equally unique, with large cobbles of serpentine stone that force grapevines to dig deep and struggle for sufficient nutrients and water, which produces low-yields and high-quality fruit.

Our 2020 vintage is seriously beautiful from the nose to the finish. Aromas of dried purple flower and spiced cherry arise on the bouquet, while the palate reveals a supple acidity that balances perfectly with the age-worthy tannic structure. Blackberry, star anise, and cedar tones linger long on the finish. It’s a wine that will stand up to a steak, but also pair well with lighter dishes too.
